Are memberships available at Heritage Shores?
At Heritage Shores, we offer flexible membership options designed for both community residents and golfers outside the community:
- Diamond Membership – Includes cart fees, unlimited use of the course, range balls, discounted use of our state-of-the-art TopTracer technology on the Practice Range, and access to exclusive member events.
- Platinum Membership – Offers the same great benefits, with members paying a cart fee when they play.
In addition to our memberships, we also offer the Shores Card Loyalty Program. For a one-time annual fee, cardholders receive discounts on our rates anytime they play.
Whether you’re a Heritage Shores resident or visiting golfer, our memberships and loyalty program are designed to provide value, flexibility, and access to one of Delaware’s premier golf experiences.
Is there a waiting list?
Currently, we do not have a waiting list.
Is Heritage Shotes open to the public?
Yes. Our golf course and dining facilities are open to the public, so guests are always welcome to enjoy a round of golf or dine with us. However, certain amenities — including the swim club, racquet courts, billiard and card rooms, wood shop, and craft room — are reserved exclusively for Heritage Shores residents.
Who designed the course?
Heritage Shores is a challenging Arthur Hills design that combines wide, inviting fairways with strategically designed green surrounds to test players of all skill levels. In 2025, Heritage Shores was proudly voted the #1 Public Access Golf Course in Delaware by Golf Now subscribers.
Do you offer golf instruction or clinics?
Yes. Heritage Shores offers a variety of golf clinics designed for all levels of players, each focusing on specific aspects of the game. In addition, our Professional Staff provides private lessons enhanced by TopTracer technology, giving golfers a personalized and high-tech learning experience.
Are tee times required?
Tee times are strongly encouraged at Heritage Shores to ensure course availability. You can easily book online through our website or call the Golf Shop at 302-337-7514 to reserve your time.
What dining options are available at Heritage Shores?
Heritage Shores offers a variety of dining options, all open to the public:
- Sugar Beet Market – A casual venue with full bar service, a pub-style menu, and large garage doors that open to scenic views across the water toward the first tee.
- Passwaters Restaurant & 1757 Tavern – Located in the main clubhouse, these venues provide a full dining experience, whether you’re enjoying a meal in the main dining room or relaxing on the wrap-around Veranda.
Does Heritage Shores host events?
Yes. Heritage Shores hosts private events for members, community residents, and the public. We offer a variety of event spaces to suit different needs — including our grand ballroom, which comfortably seats up to 450 guests — making us an ideal venue for weddings, banquets, celebrations, and more. What recreational facilities are available?
Heritage Shores offers a wide range of recreational amenities for an active lifestyle. These include tennis and pickleball courts, an outdoor swim club, a wellness center with the latest exercise equipment and an indoor pool, a billiard and card room, and a woodworking shop. Please note that these facilities are reserved exclusively for Heritage Shores residents.
What is the dress code at the Heritage Shores?
On the golf course and practice facility, proper golf attire is required. In our dining facilities, the dress code is casual, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Are guests welcome at Heritage Shores?
Yes. Heritage Shores members are welcome to bring guests, who will enjoy discounted rates compared to regular play. Please note that some restrictions and limitations apply.
