Active adult community? 55+ Community? Age Restricted? Retirement community? Are you kidding me? How many ways can they try and label this propaganda? Why does everyone try and spin life after work as retirement? I’ve never been busier. And I’ve never been happier. I’m living life on my terms now and that means whatever I want it to, no matter how they try and “market” it.

Sure, I play some golf, do a little fishing, relax with a good book and even cut the grass if I want to. That’s the beauty of it all — I do what I want, when I want.

So they can call it whatever they want, but I’m delighted to be surrounded by people just like me — free, fun and full of that spirit that makes a community like this “active” and so attractive.

Heritage Shores is a remarkable place. The golf course and country club are the best kept secrets in the Mid Atlantic with wonderful restaurants, pool and fitness center. Plus, living in Delaware includes amazing tax advantages.

Honestly, this lifestyle isn’t for everyone. If you’re content to keep raking leaves, fixing leaky faucets and sitting around watching daytime tv stay where you are.
